Saturday the 13th

Gideon and I are about half way through the book, about 22 pages, about Ibn al-Haytham for his science project.  He has been doing most of the reading.  It turns out there is a 12 minute movie that we might be able to watch as well, if we can find it.  I am getting more excited about this now that I have read the book and done a small amount of online research.  My guess is that we will just do some kind of a camera obscura (Wikipedia).  There are many other things that Ibn al-Haytham invented and discovered.  More research may mean we do something else.

Deeply saddened by the apparent loss of a great man, Duke Kenric

Today was a mellow day of general cleaning, relaxing and helping my daughter with her sewing.  She is hoping to get a new outfit ready for the event we are attending at the end of the month.  She has been learning a bunch about tailoring and making self supporting garments.  It's going to look really great when she is finished.  A friend came over and visited tonight.  We all had pizza and watched some episodes of Gravity Falls.  Laid back day and evening with friends and family is toady's happy.
